After completing the Skills Maintenance App and we started developing Apps for Construction Companies we needed the most efficient and results based method of producing quality Apps in a short period of time. Thats why we turned to using the Minimum Viable Product or MVP as our business model, this enabled us to complete prototyping, extensive data collection, and enhanced learning from our Customers.
What is a Minimum Viable Product?
Minimum Viable Product (MVP) is a strategy and process designed to develop and market a new App for a Customer. This process has a number of layers, including; leverage of existing knowledge, idea generation, prototype development, ample data collection and smart analysis. By Startting with a minimum set of features or core elements in our first App and releasing it to a limited number of Customers, we were quickly provided with feedback and data to make improvements with.
What are the benefits?
By spending as little time wasting resource on trying to get a complex product created, we quickly release a product that caters to the core demands of the customer, and then allow for further expansion on the Customers needs. So the released App will fit the Customers requirements without any unnecessary features.
How did we make this proven method better?
During the prototyping stage and as we researched the core features Construction Companies required, we noticed a trend of specific features being needed and others not being used. With further initial development we were able to modularised this so features could easily be included or excluded, again greatly reducing development times and allowing leverage on previously gained knowledge and experience.
So what does this really mean for you?
You're not paying for things you don't need or for us to re-invent the wheel.
